Leslie Sokol is the recipient of TV Santa Barbara’s “Voices of Community” Award, which honors individuals who use media to uplift, connect, and inspire the Santa Barbara community. The award symbolizes not only personal achievement but also a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices and fostering meaningful engagement. Through her signature program For the Young at Heart, Leslie has become a passionate advocate for active aging—bringing movement, joy, and community to older adults across Central California. Her classes—whether in person or on television—are inclusive, energizing, and designed to support physical and emotional wellbeing at every stage of life. Leslie believes in the importance of giving voice to a population that is often overlooked—and reminds us all that vitality, confidence, and connection are always within reach.
